Proxies, ATOM, RSS, HTML formats, and More

I have been working hard this weekend and things are absolutely amazing! As of now, Content Farmer can not only post your RSS feeds, but ATOM feeds and you can assign separate layouts for each project's feeds! This is in addition to the new features for appending to data files and dropping banned entries from feeds (which works when using ATOM feeds too!)

All this work and getting ready for a whole new set of training videos has got me to thinking. RSS2Blog and The Blog Solution have been primarily about posting RSS feeds with other content sources as only a secondary source. Some of you out there, then, are likely to be looking for a much more limited feature set than all Content Farmer offers. Specifically, affiliate marketers and RSS reposters should have their own, trimmed-down versions. Being more limited in power, the price for these special issue versions could be substantially lower than Content Farmer and to that end, I've decided to offer Affiliate Farmer and RSS Farmer which will have interfaces modified to be limited to just supporting those particular features! This will open up the market to some of you just getting started and you can always upgrade to the full-featured Content Farmer at any time.

Blogger's Dead, SEOBlogBuilder's Dead - Only Content Farmer Outlives them Both

Ooh, a touch title for this post, eh? Well, it's true. Content Farmer supports the new Blogger, supported the old Blogger, and will support future Blogger implementations. Blogger's never been a very good site for posting, however, so Content Farmer supports all the better blog types: WordPress, LiveJournal, Live Spaces, Nucleus, b2evolution, and even by email! I was just informed of someone who's using the post via email option to add to their Joomla site! That's right, damn near anything you want to post to you can already post to with Content Farmer and coming soon, blogs won't be the only issue.

Well, what's up with the mass blogging market?

It seems to be an interesting time in the mass automated blog market. This week someone dropped a line to say that the "online helpdesk is GONE ... forum still up, with complaints", SEOBlogBuilder crapped out, and TheBlogSolution's open forum still tells tales of disappointment. The way I see it, the only mass posting tool that's poised to stay on top of the rest of the competition - especially in the area of support - is Content Farmer. Of course, I have the inside scoop on Content Farmer, but an honest assessment is likely to give you the same conclusion - especially as you check out the updates coming up with the new look of Content Farmer.

The learning has begun

The graphics artist says that I'll have the new layout in a week so I've stepped up research and will be adding in some nice functionality and reworking the interface to be much more intuitive. We also will be announcing a very nice service for affiliate marketers. So, what will be in this upgrade? Well, I'll say that I've taken some of your suggestions, have started using Content Farmer myself, and have looked at stuff from proxies to new posting modules. It's truly an exciting time in the world of automated posting and I'm happy to be able to share that with you. If you haven't done so yet, be sure to get your copy. New layout on the way

Well, a number of you stopped by contentfarmer.com yesterday to check out the new site and I even got some feedback in the forum, so I have good news: We're getting a professionally designed layout soon. I don't have the deadline back from the designer, but the good news is that the wait will be worth it!

You know that Content Farmer is the great posting tool of our time, so you may be wondering how I plan on making it worth it. Well, let me drop just this one hint as I'm sure Don at SEOBlogBuilder will be watching to see what my next plans are: I think it's time to break down the barrier between blogs and automated posting and Content Farmer will do it. It's not really that hard since you can use the same technology that blogs use to update their content to update the content of any site.

Now, the big question will be what the cost will be for such a powerful added feature. The answer: Free to current owners! That's right, this upgrade will be free. Why? Well, I want you all to have a reason to upgrade to the all new layout when it's completed and what better way than extra features?

There's more in the works too. I am going to be reworking the interface to be more intuitive and less like a power user's tool. For you this will mean some of the easiest project creation and configuration you've seen around. I've been investigating a number of Ajax interfaces and have just about settled on the new one.
